Jennifer’s dedication to providing top-notch patient care aligns perfectly with Hopewell's values of compassion, quality, and exceptional service, which first drew her to the team.
At home, she is mom to a small “fur family” that includes Squid, a grumpy yet lovable cat, an American bulldog, and a senior pug, all of whom hold a special place in her heart. Outside of work,
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, raising fancy show chickens, and unwinding with a game of Sudoku each evening. Her warmth, dedication, and extensive experience make Jennifer an invaluable part of the Hopewell family, bringing a personal touch to the clinic every day.
Technician
Andrea is a dedicated technician with nearly 15 years of experience in the veterinary care field. At Hopewell Animal Hospital, Andrea specializes in caring for hospitalized and surgical patients, assisting in surgery, and supporting clients during appointments. She was drawn to Hopewell by Dr. Brown’s stellar reputation and commitment to rescue work, values that align with Andrea’s passion for advocating for animals.
Andrea is deeply motivated by her love for animals, especially being their voice when they cannot speak for themselves. She finds pride in helping patients recover from illness or injury and seeing the joy it brings to their families. At home, Andrea embraces the chaos of a lively household shared with six dogs and nine cats, all of whom bring her immense happiness.
When she’s not at the clinic, Andrea enjoys spending time with her family and pets. She is excited about the new clinic’s enhanced ability to provide efficient and personalized care for patients and their families. Andrea’s compassion and extensive experience make her an invaluable member of the Hopewell team.
Technician
Samantha is a compassionate veterinary technician dedicated to making a difference in each pet’s life at Hopewell Animal Hospital. She has always wanted to work in veterinary care and is passionate about creating a positive experience for both pets and their families. Samantha’s daily responsibilities include taking histories from pet parents and assisting with medical procedures, all while bringing a calm and comforting presence to the clinic.
Samantha shares her life with Meelo, a playful Siberian Husky who’s both her companion and her joy. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and her pets, embracing each weekend as a chance to unwind.
A memorable experience for her was assisting in the care of Chevron, a resilient dog who survived a traumatic accident. Samantha’s empathy and dedication shine through in her work, making her a cherished member of the Hopewell family.
Technician

As a seasoned veterinary technician, she assists in surgeries, cares for hospitalized patients, and provides wellness care, ensuring that every pet receives the attention they deserve.
Jen is passionate about working for a family-oriented, non-corporate practice where patient care always comes first. She appreciates Dr. Brown’s dedication to both the practice and animal health, making Hopewell a truly special place to work. Known for her ability to keep things running smoothly, she plays a vital role in managing surgical procedures and maintaining the flow of the clinic.
One of the most rewarding parts of her job is seeing pets recover and reunite with their families. For Jennifer, nothing compares to the joy of helping an animal heal and return home where they belong. Her personal connection to animals runs deep—she even delivered her own beloved dog, Quinn!
Beyond the clinic, Jen enjoys crafting, hiking, traveling, and diving into new hobbies. She also values the close friendships she has built with her coworkers, making Hopewell not just a workplace, but a second family.
Technician
Sarah is a skilled and compassionate veterinary technician who brings her dedication and expertise to Hopewell Animal Hospital. With a degree in Mathematics from Hanover College, Sarah combines her analytical mindset with a deep love for animals. She has been a veterinary technician since 2017 and has also fostered cats and kittens for various Louisville rescues since 2014. At Hopewell, Sarah works part-time, assisting with hospitalized patients, surgery preparation and monitoring, and diagnostics such as lab work, x-rays, and ultrasounds.
Sarah’s passion for working with animals began as a caregiver to her pets and fosters, finding joy in building trust with animals in need. She treasures moments like slow blinks and head butts from anxious cats, full-body wags from excited dogs, and finding food that a sick pet will finally enjoy. At home, Sarah shares her life with five beloved pets, including Hobbes, a three-legged cat, and Hermes, a chinchilla who adores head scratches.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys gardening, playing with foster kittens, and relaxing at home with her partner and cats. She is thrilled about the new clinic’s increased space and enhanced capabilities, which will allow the team to provide even better care. Sarah’s compassion and dedication make her an integral part of the Hopewell team.
